2. Prepare NON-FICTION web writing examples (partial articles are acceptable) that demonstrate your expertise in topics in our niche (please peruse our website to see what subjects we prefer). If you have previously published work relevant to our target audience, please provide links or attachments. New writers can submit well-crafted articles (partial articles are fine; even in subjets outside those above) showcasing their writing skills.
3. If you have an online presence, such as a profile on Upwork or similar platforms, include links to your portfolio or relevant samples. Remember, we also welcome brand new writers (especially seniors seeking to enhance their income with their brilliant writing work and insights!). In this case, we may assist you in setting up an account on Upwork or other modality where we can work together privately.
4. Once you have heard back from us and feel comfortable sharing more of your writing (or article ideas), we may ask you to sign a document which holds us harmless should we ever publish articles in a similar niche. Only then, please send a proposal outlining your article idea(s). Or we can provide an article we’d like you to write, including the subject, key points, keywords and a brief summary. If you are familiar with SEO writing, you may include some target keywords and/or keyword phrases or search intent questions. Please highlight how your content/outline aligns with our target audience and provides value to our readers.
5. Send your writing samples, online presence links, and outline or proposal, together with your per-word rate to [email protected] with the subject line: “Write For Us – [Your Name].” Our editorial team will review your submission and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
6. Please note: *We require/contract/purchase articles of a minimum of 1,000 to 5,000 words maximum without “content stuffing.” *We prefer to work, communicate and pay through established freelance platforms (i.e. Upwork and Fiverr) but will consider working and paying via other platforms (Paypal/Google Docs). *We pay upon finished assignments (which have passed AI and plagiarism checks). Content must have been created exclusively for SunsetSoulmates.com and not in use elsewhere. If purchased, content will be owned by SunsetSoulmates.com.
